I’m frequently asked what the best games to bring to a party are, and I usually have to be annoying and note that if it’s not intended to be a game night party, the best game is hopefully no game at all. Let’s assume you’re talking about the latter case, though, and social and party games can cover a pretty wide variety of things. You’ve got your social deduction games: all things lying, cutthroat skullduggery, and deception. You’ve got your sillier party games: loud, boisterous, and fun for all ages. And you’ve got your challenging party games, usually having players figure out how to put things in categories or pick the best thing as a group. As with any genre, I’ve got some clear favorites, so let’s take a look!
